Import your changelog from other tools 📥

Switching to Nitrozen shouldn't mean starting your changelog from zero. If your plan has importing enabled, you can now pull in your existing changelog from another tool via its public RSS feed.

Paste in the feed URL and we'll show you a preview first — including a step to map the source tool's tags to your own categories — before anything is created. Entries import as drafts by default so you can review them, or check "Publish all imported entries immediately" to bring them live right away,...

Custom categories for your changelog 🏷️

Every changelog used to be stuck with four fixed categories — New, Improvement, Fix, Announcement. If your team organizes releases differently, or you're migrating from a tool with its own tags, there was no way to match that.

Projects on qualifying plans can now add, rename, and recolor their own categories from a new Manage Categories page in project settings, picking from a curated color palette so everything still looks sharp on your public changelog and in the widget. The four built-...

Improvement

Publish dates now shown in your local time 🕒

Scheduling an entry used to show the publish date/time in UTC, which made it confusing to plan a release around your own timezone.

The publish date picker (and the entries list) now shows and accepts your browser's local time — for most of you that's your own timezone, automatically detected, no settings to configure. Everything is still stored in UTC under the hood, so nothing changes for the API or your existing entries.

Improvement

Auto-resizing images 🖼️

Images in your changelog entries now automatically resize to fit their container, so oversized screenshots no longer break your layout — on the changelog page or in the widget.

Want more control? Add a size hint right in your markdown:

  • ![alt](url){width=50%} — any percentage
  • ![alt](url){.img-sm} / {.img-md} / {.img-lg} — quick presets

The widget also now shows a properly-sized thumbnail pulled from your entry's first image.

Improvement

Widget: cleaner previews & click-through to entries

Entry previews in the embeddable widget no longer show raw markdown syntax — just clean, readable text.

Clicking an entry in the widget now opens its full changelog page in a new tab, so readers can dive into the details.

Improvement

Customizable changelog label

You can now customize the small label that appears under your project name on the public changelog page. Call it whatever fits your brand — "Release Notes", "What's New", "Updates" — or leave it blank to hide it entirely. Head to your project settings to set it.

New

Dark mode 🌙

Nitrozen.io now offers dark mode functionality across both the user application and the changelog page. By default, the platform automatically adapts to the system's theme settings. Users can also manually toggle between Light mode ☀️ and Dark mode 🌙 for a customized experience.

Improvement

🎨 Custom widget color & icon

Now you can choose custom colors for your widget, and select one of the three icons: a chat bubble, a bell icon 🔔, or a megaphone 📢.

New

Custom Favicon & Logo

Nitrozen.io now allows you to add your own custom logo and favicon to your public changelog to personalise it.
