Connect your AI assistant to Nitrozen and manage your changelog with natural language.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external services. Once connected, your assistant can read and manage your Nitrozen projects and entries on your behalf — no copy-pasting, no manual API calls.
The Nitrozen MCP server is hosted at https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp and works with Claude.ai, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Zed, and any MCP-compatible client.
Claude.ai supports full OAuth — no API token needed. Just add the server URL and authorize.
https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcpOther MCP clients use an API token instead of OAuth. Get yours from the API Tokens page and use it as the Bearer token in the configurations below.
Run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http nitrozen https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer <your-api-token>"Or add it manually to your project's .mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"nitrozen": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <your-api-token>"
}
}
}
}Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (global) or .cursor/mcp.json in your project:
{
"mcpServers": {
"nitrozen": {
"url": "https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <your-api-token>"
}
}
}
}Add to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_settings.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"nitrozen": {
"url": "https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <your-api-token>"
}
}
}
}Requires GitHub Copilot with agent mode enabled. Add to .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace:
{
"servers": {
"nitrozen": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <your-api-token>"
}
}
}
}Add to your Zed settings.json:
{
"context_servers": {
"nitrozen": {
"url": "https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <your-api-token>"
}
}
}
}Use the official MCP TypeScript SDK to connect programmatically:
import { Client } from "@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/client/index.js";
import { StreamableHTTPClientTransport } from "@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/client/streamableHttp.js";
const client = new Client({ name: "my-app", version: "1.0.0" });
await client.connect(
new StreamableHTTPClientTransport(
new URL("https://mcp.nitrozen.io/mcp"),
{ headers: { Authorization: "Bearer <your-api-token>" } }
)
);
const result = await client.callTool({ name: "list_projects", arguments: {} });
console.log(result);The server exposes 16 tools covering the full Nitrozen API:

Once connected, try asking your assistant:
The Nitrozen MCP server supports two authentication methods:
Authorization: Bearer <token>.
You can revoke access at any time from the API Tokens page.
